The Jabarkhet Nature Reserve is home to a great variety of biodiversity, from plants and trees, to mammals, birds, and even insects. Over 100 species of birds are found here and it is one of the best places to spot large coveys of the handsome Kalij Pheasant. These forests are among the few remaining natural forests near Mussoorie, connecting to the Shivalik Hills and the Himalayas. They thus form an important wildlife corridor and also sustain a critical water source that feeds into the Kolti Nala, which is the source of water supply for a large section of Mussoorie residents.

You will be picked up from Malsi Deer Park, Dehradun at 0600 hours in the morning and driven to Jabarkhet for a nature trek and some Himalayan birdwatching. Reach Jabarkhet Nature Reserve at 0700 hours.
