The Surajpur wetlands are actually home to a mosaic of habitats, including shallow wetlands, reedbeds and grassland patches. Up to 200 species of birds have been recorded here, including Bristled Grassbird, Bengal Bush Lark, Red Avadavat, Indian Silverbill, Black-breasted Weaver, Northern Lapwing, various duck species, various waders, and other wetland species.

You will be picked up from Connaught Place, Delhi at 0600 hours and driven to Surajpur to look for Bristled Grassbird and other feathered beauties. Reach Surajpur Wetland at 0730 hours. Our guide will meet and accompany you to the birding site.
Spend the rest of the day bird-watching at Surajpur Wetland. This sanctuary is the home of around 180 different species of birds. Surajpur is a great example of urban wetland habitat. The habitat acts as a breeding ground for many resident waterfowl, storks, herons, and more. The surrounding grassland patches are also home to a variety of larks, chats, and more.
We will drop you off at Connaught Place at 1700 hours (tour ends).
