Detailed Itinerary:

You will be picked up from the Sukhatal bus stop at 0600 hours and driven to Pangot. Reach Pangot at 0635 hours. We will first take you to the Jungle Lore Birding Lodge. The lodge is India's first and foremost birding lodge and has been key to birding success in the region. Enjoy a hot cup of tea/coffee at the dining deck. The area near the dining deck also serves as a feeding ground for the birds who turn up every day without fail. Sit back and take time to finish your tea/coffee as you watch the birds feed, and soak in the fresh mountain air.

After a delicious breakfast prepared by our chef, we will depart for the Hariyal Trek at 0830 hours. This short trek will take you into the lush forests of Pangot and allow you to walk alongside river streams, possibly stopping for a picnic at one of the picturesque spots overlooking the Himalayas.

You will also go for a village visit, and see the knitting that the region is famous for. In the village, we will also get a glimpse of the local people getting on with their daily routine, and gain an insight into the humble local culture, customs, and mannerisms. While trailing in the region you will be crossing paths with many sought-after Himalayan birds that thrive in the region, and spend time at several pristine and picturesque creeks intertwining this unexplored hamlet of Kumaon.

Return to the lodge for lunch at 1200 hours. Take a break to relax after a delicious Kumaoni lunch. Then, at 1430 hours, we will embark on another amazing outing, the mysterious Tigda Baba Trek. The forest is lush, with the majority of the trees being oak and rhododendron, making the forests of Pangot amazing year-round. The hillsides are forever changing color. A crisp blue sky, one that can only be witnessed in the hills, is sure to beckon you.
Along the way, we see a variety of landscapes, flora, and fauna. Deep ravines formed during the monsoon seasons, as well as small spring water streams, can be found along the way.

Villagers can also be seen in the forest gathering fodder for their cattle and firewood for their homes. As you take a quick 5-minute break, the scenic beauty around you relieves your tiredness. Return to the lodge after you've had your fill of beautiful Pangot.

We will drop you off at Nainital at 1700 hours (Tour ends).
